2009 Christmas/Holiday Party

Following the fun from last year, Jerry and Lena bravely welcomed their Childfree friends to come and celebrate all the festivals that this time off year has to offer - we are an equal opportunity group!

With a Festivus pole, a Dreidel, Menorah, Christmas Tree and Dewali lights, we had all the celebrations covered - we hoped... 

During the White Elephant gift exchange, it was seemed that people had learnt from some of the previous years surprises and had taken lessons in bomb disposal, since they were cautious, almost reluctant to open new presents. For this years most stolen gifts, the Hummingbird feeder was as fearlessly fought over as pair of Ruby-throats it hoped to attract, the German coffee and cookies was a surprise fight (surprise because they really were an unwanted gift from someone's relatives in Europe), the obligatory alcohol was popular (as always). But no-one will ever forget to look on Gill's face when he unwrapped the canned..........

PS. we still mourned the loss of the "Wow-cow" - there had even been some discussion about finding one on e-bay, but it wouldn't have been our "Wow-cow"...
